Easter eggs

I always wanted to experience making my own chocolates. Easter offered a great opportunity, so I decided to have a go. Luckily I found the plastic moulds for making small eggs and one large eggs in the window of a shop while walking towards the city center in Hitchin. I had no clue how to make them or more importantly which chocolate to choose in order to make shiny looking eggs. So I went through all my "old" books and magazines.

Here is all you need to know:

1. Choose any "covering" chocolate.
2. Pay a lot of attention when melting the chocolate (in a bowl on hot water but be careful not boiling water!)
3. When melting the chocolate, add two thirds of your chocolate and once this has melted add the last third to keep the heat down a little bit.

As you can read, it is important not to heat up too much the chocolate. Then once in the mould, leave to cool down in the fridge for at least 20 minutes.

Having my day free last Friday, I decided to enjoy my Friday by making different types of eggs. I took all types of cake decorations and I even tried chocolate eggs with Matcha Tea (powdered green tea). Absolutely divine! Just add one tea spoon of Matcha Tea for 125g of white chocolate. That's it!
