While on a trip to the "Loire Valley" I stopped to the Royal city of Loches,
and discovered the landscape painter Emmanuel Lansyer (1835-1893).
If you stop in Loches don't miss the "Maison Lansyer", the Lansyer's family
home that has been turned into a museum.
There, you will be able to discover a sample of his paintings
(he made 1500 paints during his life!)
and some of his personal belongings as well such as Japanese prints, sketches from Delacroix, letters to his friend Jose-Maria de Heredia.
With Corot, Lansyer was certainly one of the best landscape painter.
